Terms and Conditions

CrestWell Accountants and Advisors is the trading name of Omar Ahmed Khan ACA, a sole trader and ICAEW Chartered Accountant in Crawley, West Sussex. These terms cover two things: the rules for using this website, and how our accountancy and advisory services are agreed, provided and paid for, including how to complain if something goes wrong.

Last updated: 28 October 2026

This page has two parts. The website terms of use apply to everyone who uses this website. The terms of supply explain how our services are agreed and provided if you become a client.

Part 1: Website terms of use

1. Who runs this website

This website, crestwellaccountants.com, is run by CrestWell Accountants and Advisors, the trading name of Omar Ahmed Khan ACA, a sole trader, of 11 Epping Walk, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 6LX. You can contact us at info@crestwellaccountants.com. We are regulated by ICAEW, firm number C011009725.

2. Accepting these terms

By using this website you accept these terms of use. We may update them from time to time, and the version on this page when you use the website is the one that applies.

3. Using the website properly

Please do not try to break, disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the website, copy or scrape its content by automated means, send anything unlawful, abusive or misleading through our forms, or pretend to be someone else.

4. Our content

The text, images, design, code and branding on this website belong to CrestWell Accountants and Advisors or the people who licensed them to us. You are welcome to view, print and share pages for your own information, but please do not copy or reuse the content for commercial purposes without our permission.

5. Information on this website is not advice

The information on this website is general. We keep it up to date as far as we reasonably can, but tax rules, deadlines and regulations change, and the right answer always depends on your own circumstances. Nothing on this website is professional advice for your specific situation, and you should not act on it without speaking to us or another qualified adviser first. We only give advice once we have agreed to act for you in writing.

6. Availability

We provide the website as it is and cannot promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.

7. Links to other websites

Where we link to other websites, such as HMRC, Companies House or ICAEW, we do so for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content of other websites.

8. Our liability for the website

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited or excluded. Otherwise, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this website or from relying on its general information, and we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss.

9. Privacy and cookies

How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy, and the cookies we use are explained in our Cookie Policy.

10. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.

Part 2: Terms of supply

11. How we agree to act for you

A first consultation is free and does not commit you, or us, to anything. Before any work starts, we send you a written engagement letter setting out who we are acting for, exactly what we will and will not do, what we need from you, our fees and when they are payable, together with our standard terms of business. The engagement letter and terms of business form our contract with you. Where they differ from anything on this website, they take priority.

As a regulated accountancy practice, we are also required by law to confirm your identity and carry out anti-money laundering checks before we can act for you.

12. Fees

Our fees are agreed with you in writing before we start, and the engagement letter explains whether they are fixed, based on time, or a combination. If the scope of the work changes, we agree any change to the fee with you before doing the extra work. Payment terms are set out in the engagement letter. For business clients, we may charge interest on late payment under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

13. What we need from you

Our work depends on the information you give us. You are responsible for giving us complete and accurate information and records in good time, and for telling us about anything that could affect the work. Where information arrives late, deadlines may be harder to meet, and we will tell you as early as we can.

14. Ending our engagement

Either of us can end the engagement by giving notice in writing, as set out in the engagement letter. If you are a consumer and our contract was agreed at a distance, you may also have a legal right to cancel within fourteen days, which the engagement letter explains.

15. Our liability for our services

Our liability for the work we do is set out in the engagement letter and terms of business. Nothing in them limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. We hold professional indemnity insurance, and the insurer's details are shown at the foot of every page of this website.

16. Complaints

We want to know if you are unhappy with any part of our service. Please tell us at info@crestwellaccountants.com or write to us at the address above. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly, look into it carefully and give you a full response.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can refer your complaint to ICAEW, our professional body, at icaew.com/complaints.

17. Data protection

We handle your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy, and as explained further in our engagement letter.

18. General

Nobody other than you and CrestWell Accountants and Advisors has any right to enforce these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
