Why Omar started CrestWell

I started my career with small accounting practices and worked my way up through a medium-sized firm and eventually to Deloitte, one of the largest accounting firms in the world. It was during my time at Deloitte that I noticed something striking. The big giants make every decision on the back of strong management reporting and financial data, letting those insights drive their strategic direction. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs), on the other hand, tend to treat financial information as nothing more than a compliance requirement. That contrast baffled me.

So I opened CrestWell to change that. My mission is to show SMEs that management reporting can do far more than compliance. It gives them clarity over their finances, and with that clarity, the confidence and direction to plan their next move.

Omar leads the finance, reporting and tax work himself, and he is supported by two specialist associates who bring deep, dedicated expertise in HR, AI automation and business transformation. Each discipline is led by a seasoned professional with a focused career in that field, so you get genuine expertise in every service rather than a generalist trying to cover all bases.

We apply the same technology-forward approach to every client, working in Xero, Sage and QuickBooks and automating the routine so the time goes on what matters.

Experience with complex group structures

We have extensive experience of financial reporting for large, multi-entity groups, including multi-currency consolidations, intercompany eliminations and board-level financial presentations. That depth is now used to simplify and strengthen reporting for clients of every size.

Deep technical expertise

We bring deep technical expertise in UK GAAP and IFRS statutory reporting, group consolidations and management accounts, combined with hands-on experience in cashflow forecasting, budgeting, board-level reporting and audit readiness.
