We stay ahead of any changes in the accounting standards so that you don't have to worry about them. For the bookkeeping services, we are experienced with all mainstream accounting softwares such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks. Not only that, we also handle all your company secretarial matters, whether it's Companies House filing, confirmation statements, or to keep statutory records.
All done properly and on time. In summary, we handle your compliance and financial reporting so that you can focus on your business, which matters the most.
Every limited company has to prepare year-end accounts, file them at Companies House and keep its statutory records in order. It is the part of the job most owners would happily never think about again, and it is exactly the part where a missed deadline or a careless filing costs real money and, worse, credibility with your bank, your customers and anyone who looks you up.
We take it off your plate. Your year-end accounts are prepared properly, reviewed by a Chartered Accountant, explained to you in plain English and filed on time.

Year-end accounts, done properly
Most small and medium-sized companies in the UK report under UK GAAP, the set of accounting standards known as FRS 102 and FRS 105, depending on their size. Some businesses, particularly those with international owners, investors or parent companies, report under IFRS. We work in both.
We prepare the full set of year-end accounts from your records, check them properly, and sit down with you to go through them before anything is signed or filed. You should understand your own accounts, and you should be comfortable with every number in them. Where the year has thrown up something that needs a judgement, such as a large contract, a new loan or a change in the business, we explain the options and what each one means.
The same accounts are the starting point for your company's corporation tax return. Our tax compliance and advisory service picks up from here.
Group and multi-entity reporting
If your business runs through more than one company, the reporting gets harder quickly. Intercompany balances need to agree, trading between companies needs eliminating, and a group with overseas entities has currencies to translate. Omar Ahmed Khan ACA, who leads this work, has prepared consolidated reporting for large multi-entity, multi-currency groups and presented it at board level. We bring that experience to smaller groups, so the consolidation is right and the story it tells is clear.
Keeping up with accounting standards
Accounting standards change. FRS 102 has been through a significant update, with changes to how leases and revenue are accounted for taking effect for many businesses from 2026, and small company thresholds and Companies House filing rules are also changing. We keep track of what applies to you, tell you in good time, and handle the transition, so a change in the rules never lands on you as a surprise at year end.
Companies House and company secretarial work
Alongside the accounts, a company has ongoing obligations to Companies House. We look after them for you:
- Annual accounts, filed within the deadline, which for most private companies is nine months after the end of the financial year.
- Changes during the year, such as a new director, a change of registered office or a share issue, filed when they happen.
- Statutory registers, the company's own records of its members, directors and people with significant control, kept up to date.
We keep a calendar of every deadline for your company and start the work well before each one, so you are never chasing us, and nobody is chasing you.
Why it is worth getting right
Late filing at Companies House brings automatic penalties that increase the later the accounts arrive, and repeated lateness can put a company at risk of being struck off the register. Accounts and filings are also public. Lenders, customers, suppliers and investors look you up, and a clean, on-time filing history quietly tells them you are a business that has its house in order.

What our clients say
- Google review
Accounts preparation
This is the first time I have really understood my own accounts. Omar at CrestWell Accountants and Advisors did my year end, had everything done on time and the fee was exactly what was quoted. What I liked most was that Omar went through the figures with me properly, so I know what I'm making, where the money is going and how much to put aside for tax. Calls get answered and emails get a reply the same day. Really pleased I went with CrestWell.

Common questions
When are year-end accounts due at Companies House?
- A private limited company normally has nine months from the end of its financial year to file its accounts at Companies House. A company's first accounts have a different deadline, based on the date it was incorporated. Missing the deadline brings an automatic late filing penalty, so we plan the work well ahead of it.
Do you prepare accounts for groups of companies?
- Yes. We prepare consolidated accounts and multi-entity reporting, including groups with overseas subsidiaries and more than one currency, and handle the intercompany eliminations that go with them.
What do you need from me to prepare the accounts?
- Access to your accounting software or records, your bank statements, and details of anything unusual in the year, such as loans, large purchases or changes in shareholders. If we already do your bookkeeping, most of it is already in hand.
