Temporary finance cover

We provide experienced, qualified finance cover for as long as you need it, whether that is a few weeks while you recruit or several months during a leave of absence. We learn your systems and routines quickly, pick up the essential work first, and keep you informed about what is done and what is coming.

Interim management accounts

If the person who prepares your management accounts is not there, the reporting is often the first thing to slip, just when you most need to see the numbers. We step in and prepare your monthly management accounts to the same timetable and format, so the business and the board are never flying blind. If your reporting needs improving while we are there, we will tell you, and it can be improved as part of the handover.

Cover through growth and change

Some gaps are not about a vacancy at all. A period of fast growth, an acquisition, a new system going live or a restructure can all stretch a small finance team past breaking point for a while. Interim support gives you extra senior capacity for exactly as long as you need it, without committing to a permanent hire before you know what the long-term role looks like.

A clean handover

Interim work is only successful if it ends well. When your permanent person starts or returns, we hand over properly: up-to-date records, clear notes on what has been done and anything outstanding, and time to answer their questions.

Who you will work with

Interim finance support at CrestWell is provided by Omar Ahmed Khan ACA personally. He is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant with over fifteen years of experience across Deloitte, one of the Big 4, mid-tier firms and in-house finance roles, including building and leading finance teams. If the gap turns out to be bigger than a vacancy, our fractional and part-time finance director service can provide ongoing senior support.
